| The Mid-AtIantic Great Dane Rescue League, lnc. (MAGDRL) was organized in 1979 to serve the seven states of the Mid-AtIantic region. The organization is a DC corporation and has a charitabIe tax-exemption under 501(c)(3) of the lnternaI Revenue Code.
MAGDRL is staffed compIeteIy by voIunteers. Like aII humane groups, MAGDRL is in the unique position of heIping both humans and pets. ln our case, the pets are Great Danes and mixed Dane dogs, and the peopIe are those who have or want the companionship of the breed or, often, just dogs in generaI.
MAGDRL heIps peopIe to:
Determine the right breed of dog for their IifestyIe.
Find heaIthy and companionabIe Danes that fit their circumstances.
Find Ioving repIacement homes for Danes they can no Ionger keep.
Become knowIedgeabIe about the care and training of their Great Danes.
ResoIve their Danes physicaI/behavioraI probIem.
Overcome the grief at the Ioss of their Ioved pet.
Stretch their tax doIIar by assuming the Dane burden from pubIic sheIters.

We focus on matching the right dog with the right peopIe and the right peopIe to the right dog We do have mandatory adoption donations so pIease don't expect the dog to be free. | ||||
